PPC Youth Mission Statement
Seek - a relationship with God
Share - God's love with each other
Serve - others as a disciple of God
Our desire is to equip students to become disciples of Christ. We recognize that the teenage years are a unique time of life where students begin to discover for the first time who they are, and who Christ is uniquely called them to become. At PPC we seek to provide a safe, Christ-centered environment, community, and Gospel-centered teaching to serve students where they are. We believe that the church is most effective when it partners with parents and families to develop each student’s spiritual foundation.
Middle School Sunday Nights – 412
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but instead set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Middle School students are uniquely positioned in transition from elementary to high school. They are too old for the children’s ministry, but are still quite a bit younger than the high schoolers. At 412 we recognize that middle school students are called to be disciples and a part of the body of Christ, just as much as everyone else, and invest in community, teaching, and discussion.
High School Sunday Nights – Oasis
“Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks thi swater will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'" John 4:13-14
High School can be an unusually draining time as students’ schedules are filled with homework, extra-curricular activities, and friends. They are taking on the responsibility of time management and the pressures of being a teenager today. At Oasis we seek to provide respite and the refreshment that comes from the Gospel and Christian fellowship.
Wonderful Wednesdays - Wednesday Nights (Returning in September)
Taking time in the middle of your busy week to spend time in Christian community can be valuable for all of us as followers of Christ. At PPC we have a lot going on on Wednesdays that we want you to be a part of!
Service is an important part of the Gospel message and we want to provide opportunities for our students to respond to that message. On Wednesdays from 5:30-6:15 we will have a service project for students to participate in.
--HS Small Group
After dinner all High School students are invited to participate in a small group to dive deeper into discussion about the Gospel, exploring some basics of the Christian faith in a setting that allows us to share our own thoughts and questions.
Middle School and High School classes will meet separately in the bottom floor of Bigham Hall each Sunday morning.
HS Girl hangout - meet at Pelican’s Wednesday, Aug. 23 @ 7:30pm.
HS Boy hangout - meet at Veteran’s Memorial Park Wednesday, Aug. 23 @ 7pm to play frisbee golf.
